The wind against your cheeks, the scent of rain on dry earth, and then, just complete silence. In that stillness, something special happens: your shoulders relax, your breathing slows, and the hustle and bustle disappears. Do you recognize that pleasant feeling? This is exactly why nature is so important for us.Scientific research confirms what we intuitively already know: regularly spending time in nature reduces stress, strengthens our immune system, and makes us feel good. Whether you're walking through the forest, gardening, or simply sitting by the water, nature brings body and mind into balance.With Nature For Health, we build a bridge between nature and health. What started in 2013 as an innovative Dutch-Swedish collaboration focused on natural health has grown into a movement that continues to inspire and help more and more people. What are now narrow paths, we will make together into a solid route toward a healthier and greener society.

Naturally healthy together
At Nature For Health, we show how nature can be a source of health and happiness. Together with health organizations, scientists, entrepreneurs, governments, and green partners, we work on initiatives that strengthen both people and nature. "Naturally healthy together" is our motto. Through four concrete paths, we work on connecting health and nature:
1. Greener healthcare and neighborhoods
Together with healthcare organizations, IVN, and other partners, we are working on the Green Mental Health Care, Green Disability Care, and Green Elderly Care. This leads to more outdoor treatments, richer biodiversity, and healthier clients and healthcare workers. We are also working on green, healthy neighborhoods in collaboration with municipalities and others.
2. Nature as medicine
We support general practitioners and physiotherapists through Nature on Prescription in prescribing nature as a preventive measure. We have also started Nature on Prescription walks and developed the Green Perspective for people on mental health care waiting lists.
3. Youth projects in nature
Together with young people, we develop activities that strengthen their mental health and social connections through nature experiences. By actively engaging with nature, they not only discover the power of green spaces but also build resilience, self-confidence, and new connections. In this way, we contribute to Green Escape by Collectief Natuurinclusief.
4. Community-driven innovation
Big changes start small – and together. We connect people and ideas to create inspiring projects that truly make a difference. We do this together with our community, driven by positive energy and innovation. We invite everyone to join us in brainstorming and taking steps together, both big and small. Because by working together, we clear the way for a future where nature and health go hand in hand.
