🌿 Green Elderly Care: become a Green Frontrunner!
Today Nature For Health opens registration for Green Elderly Care. We invite elderly care organisations to join as partners: both organisations that already do a lot with nature and organisations that now want to take the next step.
After careful consultation with ActiZ and elderly care organisations, we are getting to work together. For elderly care in which nature is a natural part of living, life and care.
Even as you grow older and need care, you want to experience the seasons, be outdoors and meet others. A garden can bring back familiar memories, invite you to move or be a pleasant place to sit with family. For care staff, a green working environment can help them catch their breath during a busy day.
Elderly care is under great pressure. That is exactly why there is a huge opportunity to make better use of what nature has to offer: for the wellbeing and vitality of older people and of the people who care for them.
Many organisations already show what is possible. With Green Elderly Care we connect their knowledge and experience and help each other move forward. We focus on more care and activities in green spaces, staff vitality, connection with the neighbourhood and greener locations. We also take care of nature itself, with more biodiversity and less heat stress.
As a Green Frontrunner you receive tailored support and learn from and with other partners. Together we are building a national movement. In doing so, we build on the experience of Green Mental Health Care and Green Disability Care, and on the valuable results of the IVN programme Grijs, Groen & Gelukkig.
Nature For Health coordinates the implementation; ActiZ contributes ideas and support. The partnership starts on 1 January 2027.
Would your organisation like to join? We would love to talk with you about your ambitions and what Green Elderly Care can mean for them.
