The power of nature in healthcare
Twenty-five mental healthcare institutions have been selected as pilot locations within the Green for Health program, funded by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). These institutions will receive financial support and guidance from Nature for Health and IVN, the Institute for Nature Education, in the coming years to structurally integrate nature into their care approach. This represents an important step towards greener, healthier mental healthcare.
Over the next two years, thousands of clients will be able to benefit from the positive effects of nature on their mental well-being. Healthcare professionals and local residents will also experience the advantages. The Green for Health program gives Green Mental Healthcare a significant boost by connecting nature and healthcare in innovative ways.
